Finding this beautiful small church while cycling was one of the highlights of our holiday 2 weeks ago. Is there a person I can contact to send a photo I took and to say a further thank you?

I have an early black and white picture of some farm workers stood in the area in front of the church as in the above view. Any interest?

Recently researched family history of the Jones on my Grandmother's branch in Swansea found Younger Jones, farmer of Upleadon who married Elizabeth Watkins of Upleaden 1811. An ancestor of the same family, Richard Jones of Upleaden went to Swansea and became an ancestor of the Calvert Richard Jones family of Swansea, he was a friend of Henry Fox Talbot and my grandmother's Great Uncle.

A draft history of Upleadon completed in 2010 has been prepared for publication in the Victoria History of the County of Gloucester (VCH Gloucestershire). I was the author. The date of publication remains uncertain until funding for the VCH Gloucestershire is secured. The draft history can be read on http://www.victoriacounty history.ac.uk/counties/gloucestershire. Go to the work in progress section.

Reading the minutes of the paris council meeting, 2 things came to mind.
1. Some notices put on the board in the past by the parish council have been multiple or double sided items. How are we expected to read these if the notices are covered by a locked plastic sheet.

2. Drainage. All the houses near Underleaf were built with under drive drainage and water (when it gets there - it can't get there from the road owing to the sunken road surface over a water drainage scheme under the road trapping the water there). Your respodant putting out wrong information saying the ditch was blocked by vehicle accesses is just not right and this should be corrected and the official who said it informed and he needs to carry out a proper inspection. Kindly inform him before he insults us all by writing to us as he has said he will do.

Ross
I like this site and understand from Neil it is pretty easy to set up. Hoping to have a bash ourselves for a new idea I have. Anything that we should know about beforehand?
Regards
