Size, amenities and contact details
The Hall is 44 feet by 18.5 feet approx (13.2m by 5.6 m approx)and is a comfortable and cosy venue large enough to seat approximately 60 people (or 100 people standing). It has 900Mbps (FAST!) fibre broadband with WiFi, a powerful audio system with CD/DVD player and projector, a fully equipped kitchen, off road parking and a skittle alley.
It is run by a volunteer management committee. Maintenance is funded from lettings, special events and occasional donations. The Hall operates as a non-profit making charitable trust and recently received a Hallmark Stage 1 Award which shows it meets all criteria in good management systems.
Anyone can book the Hall, which includes a (non-league) 9 pin skittle alley, for private use.

With the advent of Fibre broadband coming to the Village through a project called Fastershire and provided by Gigaclear, the Village Hall now is supplied by 900Mbps Fibre broadband and WiFi network, kindly supplied free of charge to the Village Hall by Gigaclear.

Martin Vile is Gigaclear’s local representative for Upleadon. He is here to help everyone covered by this build to fully understand the benefits of fibre to the property. He is currently working in the village and available to visit you at home and help you with any questions you may have, from discussing the installation, routes from your pot to your home, potential savings, Gigaclear packages, WiFi / home networking and exactly what it means to have full fibre! Recently a 4 speaker stereo system with CD/DVD player, ipod link (old style) and headphone socket link has been fitted. Bluetooth connection is available on request. A video projector is also available for use. If you wish to connect via RCA plugs, please ask us for permission/details.
The hall is used for a variety of uses including: meetings, talks, social functions, village dinners and quizzes. A number of local groups and organisations use it including: Castle Tump Women’s Institute, St Mary’s Parish Church, a kick boxing club and an over 60s group.
