100 Club

The Upleadon Village Hall 100 Club is a Private Society Lottery whose aim is to raise funds for the Upleadon Village Hall charity. We hold 4 draws a year, each draw having 6 prizes and each ticket has an equal chance of winning. All moneys received during ticket sales either go to support the prize fund or to help run the Village Hall.

Upleadon Village Hall – 100 Club Rules

The name of the Club shall be “Upleadon Village Hall 100 Club” and is registered in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005 Reg. No. 07/00112/GALOTT.

The object of the 100 Club is to raise funds for the upkeep and running of Upleadon Village Hall.

There is no restriction on the number of members and members may apply for more than one number if they so wish.

The subscription to the 100 Club for one number shall be £15 per year payable annually in advance.  This will give members one number, which will be placed in each draw.  Members may have and are encouraged to have multiple subscriptions.

Anybody over 18 years can become a member of the 100 Club and you are encouraged to get family and friends within Upleadon to join.

There is no provision to opt in/out on a draw-by-draw basis.  The normal 100 Club year will be March to February.

In the event that a standing ticket holder has not paid in full for their ticket by the first draw, they shall be excluded from that and subsequent draws until full payment is made.  No refund will be given where draws are missed due to lack of full payment.

Each member is allocated a permanent number in the monthly draw.  This number shall remain with the member provided their subscription is up to date.

Members wishing to leave the 100 Club should do so at the end of the club membership for that year.  Refunds will not be given for people wishing to withdraw before the year-end.

There shall be four prize draws per year, with each draw having six prizes. The first draw will be held in March at the regular committee meeting, the second draw at the June meeting, the third draw at the AGM in September and the fourth draw at the Christmas Meal in December.

The draws will be made in the presence of the committee members of the Upleadon Village Hall Committee or those villagers and committee members present at the AGM and Christmas meal.

The total annual prize fund will be up to 50% of the money collected in subscriptions for that year.

The 100 Club shall be run by the Management Committee of Upleadon Village Hall and their decision will be binding on all parties in case of any dispute.

Prizes will be awarded according to membership of the 100 Club as follows:

Each prize draw – £50 for each of the first 2 numbers drawn, £30 for each of the second 2 numbers drawn and £20 for each of the third 2 numbers drawn.

A list of winning numbers will be displayed on the Village Hall Facebook page and are available on request from the treasurer.

Numbers are allocated by the Administrator and where possible, new members will be able to request any of the available numbers.

The 100 Club administrators will make all reasonable efforts to pay or post prizes to the winners within a reasonable period after the draw.

The Upleadon Village Hall Committee shall also have the power to amend or revoke these rules at their absolute discretion with such reasonable notice to the 100 Club members as is necessary.

If a winner cannot be contacted, the winnings will be placed into Upleadon Village Hall funds after 6 months.
